Figuring out how to find housing, and how each person can do their part to ensure affordable homes for all, can be challenging. EBHO’s always been here to give you the information you need to get access and win housing justice for our communities.
For many years, we did this through our signature Affordable Housing Guidebook. This print publication provided critical information and stories to thousands of people for nearly 20 years, and we’re so proud of it (see previous editions here). As the pandemic changes so much about how we work and learn, we are now providing these same resources and information through our Online Study Room.
This study room is built on our organizational values including storytelling for change and building and sharing knowledge. I often say that EBHO’s true mission is to change hearts and minds so that everyone believes that housing is a human right, and then acts on that belief. One way to get there is through information and education – for and by those who have traditionally been excluded from power, and for those in power who have been resistant to learn from others.
With this study room, you now have access anytime, anywhere to inspiring solutions, first-person stories, technical information, and resource lists. Look, listen, and learn, because it’s your knowledge that will turn these resources into action. This collection is always evolving and we welcome your feedback. We hope it feeds your mind and your heart as we strive towards inclusive, healthy communities.
