Dear EBHO Community,
It’s officially the beginning of autumn! Which means a few things: it’s time to make the switch from iced tea to hot tea; we are kicking off our 2026 membership drive; and it’s my two-year anniversary as Executive Director of EBHO! 🎉
It goes without saying that for anyone who believes in the value of diversity, democracy, and decency it’s been a very tough year. In times like these, I am so grateful for this community and our collective unwavering commitment to housing justice. I want to say THANK YOU for standing with and supporting EBHO. Your solidarity is more vital than ever.
You’ve likely seen previous communications about EBHO making some difficult and substantial staffing decisions due to recent severe shifts in the funding space for housing justice. In the face of these challenges, I’m pleased to announce that a very generous supporter has offered to match up to $41,000 (commemorating EBHO’s 41 years of housing justice work) through the end of 2025 for every additional donation we receive beyond an organization’s or individual’s annual membership renewal! I invite you to consider supporting EBHO with an extra donation this year in addition to your membership dues.
Finally, I hope you will join us on the evening of November 12th in Oakland for our Annual Membership Meeting & Celebration! This event is an opportunity for our members to come together, reflect on the year’s achievements, celebrate our collective impact, and envision a brighter future for our East Bay communities.
