Each May, EBHO joins with our partners around the Bay Area to hold Affordable Housing Month. Affordable Housing Month is our opportunity to show what is possible when we work together, educate the public, and collaborate to make “affordable homes for all” a reality.

Sponsor the Kickoff Celebration
We’re so excited to announce that our annual Affordable Housing Month Kickoff Celebration will be held on Thursday, May 4th, 2023 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM.
Our Kickoff Celebration is our biggest event of the year! This year we’ll come together over food and drinks at BLOC15 in Oakland to celebrate several housing heroes who have made significant contributions to the affordable housing movement in the East Bay.
We are currently welcoming sponsors for our kickoff event. Your sponsorship supports our work throughout Affordable Housing Month and beyond to build and racially and economically just East Bay.
Host an Affordable Housing Month Event
One of the perks of being an EBHO member is inclusion in our Affordable Housing Month promotions and programming.
In the past, our members have hosted variety of events for Affordable Housing Month including informational webinars, panel discussions, film screenings, affordable housing tours, and more.
We invite you to create with us! If you would like to host an Affordable Housing Month event in the month of May to be featured on our calendar, website, and social media, please submit your proposal by April 7, 2023.
Advertise in the Study Room
The Study Room is an online learning portal which allows readers to take a deep dive into learning about how our current conditions of housing inequity came to be and what we can do to build the world we need.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, EBHO released an annual guidebook. As it became harder to meet in-person, we launched The Study Room in order to reach more people with our resources than ever before.
Each May at our Affordable Housing Month kickoff event, EBHO now announces a relaunch of the Study Room with the latest, up-to-date content on everything affordable housing. With this relaunch, we also welcome a new batch of advertisers, whose advertisements will run until the next relaunch — from May 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024.
