Announcing EBHO’s 2026 Board Slate

Each year in fall, EBHO members have the opportunity to elect new members to our Board of Directors. We are honored to announce this year’s nominees: Tracy Matthews and Tracey Nobil!

This slate of Board nominees is especially powerful because both Tracy Matthews and Tracey Nobil are graduates of our Leadership Academy Class of 2025 and active members in our Resident Community Organizing Program. Over the past two years, they have worked with us through Housing California’s RUN program, EBHO’s various committees, and by attending several conferences across the State, advocacy days in Sacramento, and the 2026 RUN Regional Convening in Oakland.

We will vote to elect the newest members and re-elect current members of our Board of Directors at our Annual Membership Meeting & Celebration (AMMC) on November 12th—only two weeks away!

AMMC is a special opportunity for our members to come together, reflect on the year’s achievements, celebrate our collective impact, and envision a brighter future for our East Bay communities. We will enjoy food and drinks as well as take care of some important organizational business.

RSVP to join us on November 12th, and read on for more information about our fantastic Board of Directors nominees and the nomination process.

Elect Our New Board of Directors

Nomination and Voting Process

In August, EBHO put out a call for applications to join our Board of Directors. Our current Board of Directors has reviewed these nominations with an eye toward balancing perspectives and backgrounds and recommended Tracy Matthews and Tracey Nobil to be elected to the Board of Directors. Thank you so much to all those who applied!

On November 12th, members will vote on whether to approve this slate as well as re-elect current Board Members to renew their terms: Board VP Lauline Mitchell, Board Secretary Lyn Hikida, Board Treasurer Kevin Leichner, Brianne Steinhauser, and Teslim Ikharo. We will also thank Board members who are terming off for their service to the East Bay housing justice community: Board President William Goodwin, Donna Murphy, and Renee-Marie Telefoni. Bios for current Board Members can be found here.
