The Study Room

Dear Reader,
Welcome to EBHO’s Study Room!
Since EBHO’s founding in 1984, our staff and members have gained a tremendous amount of subject matter expertise and advocacy experience. We have compiled all of this insight into our Study Room so that everyone may benefit from the wisdom our members have gained over the past 40 years.
In this learning library, you will find information about the causes of the affordable housing and homelessness crisis in the Bay Area. You will also read about proven solutions and how to effectively advocate for them. We’ve included stories about residents of affordable housing and profiles of affordable housing developments in our area. Some of the content is original, and we also share articles, reports, videos, and podcasts from respected housing leaders.
Although exhaustive, we know we didn’t cover everything! If you have anything to contribute to this collection of knowledge, please email EBHO’s Strategic Communications Manager at sasha@ebho.org.
The Study Room is not a quick read; it’s intended to be a deep dive into everything affordable housing. Please use it as a reference, and share with others who are seeking knowledge about the history and future of the housing justice movement.
In solidarity,
Lindsay Haddix, Executive Director
