New Report from Bay Area Equity Atlas Predicts a Wave of Evictions in Contra Costa County

The Bay Area Equity Atlas report found that 12,000 renter households, including 10,400 children, are at imminent risk of eviction if the County fails to take further action. An additional 9,500 households could be at risk of eviction once the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation program ends at the end of July.

2020 Statewide Legislative Priorities

Each year EBHO's Regional Policy Committee, staff, and board members review state legislation and determine which bills are best suited to further our mission to protect, preserve, and create affordable homes for low-income people in the East Bay. Below are the bills determined by our team as high-priority to endorse and advocate for them to pass.

We Are Hiring: Community, Faith, & Justice Organizer

The Community Faith and Justice Organizer is responsible for engaging a wide range of EBHO’s members in campaigns for housing justice. About a third of the Organizer’s time will be spent coordinating EBHO's Faith and Justice Committee, an initiative to broaden and deepen the engagement of faith-based organizations and leaders as well as other social justice advocates for affordable housing for the lowest income communities.
