Come learn how the City is spending your money — and how you can join the fight for a budget that puts our communities first so we can all thrive!
The city is projecting a massive deficit this year, mostly due to chronic overspending on the police and federal Covid relief funds running out. For every dollar on policing, the city spends only 10 cents on housing. That’s unacceptable when so many families are on the streets.
We’re organizing to make sure our city leaders don’t make drastic cuts to the vital services our community relies on in the next budget. We’ve crunched the numbers and talked to our neighbors about what’s important, and as a community we have a roadmap to weather the storm and make sure all of our families can flourish.
Join us on Saturday, April 29 for a teach-in about our vision for a People’s Budget, how you can get involved, and what it’s going to take to win.
