St. Mary’s Center has endorsed the 2024 Regional Housing Bond to prioritize affordable housing for extremely low-income residents. Seniors are the fastest-growing segment of our unhoused population. The training will equip community speakers with the knowledge and skills to effectively communicate the importance of the housing bond to prioritize funding for acutely low-income affordable housing (0-30% AMI households) that can benefit people in greatest need.
There will be two sessions: one on 5/14 at St. Mary’s Center in Oakland, and one on 5/18 which will be held virtually.
These sessions are non-technical and targeted toward people who want to persuade voters and motivate concerned community members to take action.
