Sasha Perigo

Strategic Communications Manager

Sasha Perigo is the Strategic Communications Manager at East Bay Housing Organizations.

Sasha is a writer and affordable housing advocate from the Bay Area. After working at Google as a software engineer, she quit her job to write about the housing crisis. She worked as a columnist at the San Francisco Examiner and has been published in Curbed SF, SF Weekly, Hoodline, and Mission Local. Most recently, she worked as a Digital Organizer at California’s statewide tenant organization Tenants Together.

In her personal capacity, Sasha has advocated for queer liberation, legal rights for tenants and homeless people, and an end to exclusionary zoning. She is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

Sasha attended Stanford University for undergrad, where she studied computer science. She received the Audre Lorde Advancing Justice Through Writing Award from the Harvey Milk LGBTQ Democratic Club in 2021 and was featured on the BBC 100 Women List in 2017.
