How Interim and Permanent Housing Can Work Together To End Homelessness

May 12, 2022 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

Online Only

Hosted by All Home

Interim housing is short-term housing with supportive services intended to help unhoused people find permanent housing and exit homelessness. Alongside permanent housing and homelessness prevention, interim housing is a necessary tool to help end homelessness. Interim housing can take money different forms — safe parking sites and Homekey projects are two examples — and it can be challenging to fund and operate.

On this webinar, Ken Kirkey with All Home, Joanne Price with LifeMoves, and Sharon Lai with Dignity Moves will explain the complexities of interim housing and investigate models that are working across the Bay Area. The discussion will also dig deeper into one promising way to create more of it — using vacant sites that are slated for permanent housing.

Join us to discuss how we can advance interim and permanent housing simultaneously in order to reduce homelessness.

This event will be held ONLINE ONLY.
