Affordable Housing Month
Each May, East Bay Housing Organizations joins our partners across the Bay Area to host Affordable Housing Month.
Affordable Housing Month is an opportunity to come together to build support for affordable housing and racial justice and educate our communities on how affordable housing benefits us all.
In honor of EBHO’s 40th Anniversary, this year’s theme is “Powerful Legacy, Powerful Future.” We’ll share lessons learned from leaders who came before us to reinvigorate our future work.
Events Calendar
This year we partnered with 31 organizations to host a record 30 events through the month of May!
These events spread across the East Bay, including resident panel discussions, groundbreakings and grand openings, and even a tour of local artwork at new affordable housing communities. Educational webinars cover topics such as affordable housing finance, homeownership for middle-income families of color, and the role of housing in healthcare.
Thanks to our generous fiscal partners, most Affordable Housing Month events are free and open to the public.

Study Room Relaunch
The Study Room is an online learning portal with information about how the affordable housing crisis came to be and how we can solve it.
Each May during Affordable Housing Month, EBHO relaunches our Study Room and adds exciting new content. With this relaunch, we welcome a new batch of advertisers, whose advertisements will be shown to over 6,000 engaged readers from May 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025.
The deadline to purchase an advertisement was Friday, April 19th. If you are still interested, please email kiki@ebho.org.
