This Giving Tuesday, I’m writing to you not only with hope, but with a challenge. Thanks to a generous and anonymous donor, every dollar you give through our 2025 matching campaign will be doubled, up to $41,000. That means your gift can go twice as far towards achieving housing justice in the East Bay.
Here’s what your Giving Tuesday gift can help do:
- Support EBHO’s education and organizing programs, like our Leadership Academy, a free community organizing program for affordable housing residents and staff covering the essential elements of being an effective affordable housing leader;
- Fund advocacy efforts to prevent displacement and expand affordable housing opportunities, like our work on Alameda County’s historic Measure W funding allocation campaign;
- Engage hundreds of community members at Affordable Housing Month events, from resident panel discussions, groundbreakings and grand openings, film screenings, and more!
- Strengthen relationships and build coalitions with community groups, residents of affordable housing and folks with lived experience, advocates, and non-profit affordable housing developers to work together and take action.
