Reimagining Sacred Land — How Faith, Lived Experience & Cross-Sector Collaboration Can Lead to Affordable, Permanent Cottage Communities

May 20th @ 9:00 am 12:00 pm

Hosted by: East Bay Housing Organizations • Hope Solutions & the Resident Empowerment Program • Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County • LISC • Multi-faith ACTION Coalition

This interactive workshop explores how faith-owned land can be transformed into
affordable, permanent cottage communities with supportive services through cross-
sector collaboration. By bringing together faith leaders, faith communities, people with
lived experience (PWLE), local governments, housing advocates, and community
stakeholders, we will explore innovative partnerships that fund, support, and sustain
these developments.

Through faith wisdom, lived experience expertise, and strategic collaboration,
participants will gain a deeper understanding of how shared leadership and collective
action can turn sacred land into thriving, community-driven housing solutions that
provide long-term stability, dignity, and support for residents. Together, we will honor
shared legacy of transformative power, weaving together spiritual wisdom, personal
resilience, and multi-stakeholder innovation to create housing solutions that are both
permanent and deeply rooted in community care.

Join us for breakfast and connection at 9 AM!
