On July 17th, EBHO members and supporters participated in a collective reflection exercise with the purpose of imagining what the East Bay could be like when we win housing justice. To win housing justice will require ending inequality, and building the future we need.

Each year EBHO's Regional Policy Committee, staff, and board members review state legislation and determine which bills are best suited to further our mission to protect, preserve, and create affordable homes for low-income people in the East Bay. Alameda County Eviction Moratorium Must Remain Strong

During the pandemic that is harming Black and Latinx residents in the East Bay at higher rates than white residents because of racial and economic inequality, we call for the County Supervisors in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties to divest funds from police and jails and invest in Black futures of health and healing, which requires quality affordable housing.
