Affordable Housing Month: That’s a wrap!

A time was had! I’m so grateful to each and every one of you who showed up, stood with us, and helped make this year’s Affordable Housing Month such a powerful success. Together, we hosted over 30 events and welcomed hundreds of people across Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Whether we were building community, sharing stories, or organizing for change, your presence reminded me that none of us are in this fight alone—and that real transformation happens when we come together.

As we move into Pride Month, I’m holding close what’s at stake. As a queer Black woman with deep roots in Oakland, this work is personal to me. Fighting for housing justice is about protecting our people, our homes, and our right to thrive. Let’s keep showing up together to build a powerful future.

With appreciation,
— Kiki Poe, Chief Operating Officer
