Lavender (she/her) was born and raised in the Bay Area and is a current Oakland renter. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies, concentrating in Law and Policy, and minored in Public Policy. Lavender’s career is driven by a commitment to supporting marginalized communities in navigating intricate racial and social justice issues.

Her professional journey spans diverse roles within public interest and social justice spheres. She has served as a legal assistant in immigration law and as an educator and mentor in several of Oakland’s lowest income schools, striving to ensure equitable educational opportunities for all children.

Lavender is excited to be a part of EBHO, as she is eager to contribute her passion for social equity and experience as a Bay Area resident to advocating for affordable housing solutions in the East Bay.

Outside of work, you can find her singing karaoke to her favorite songs, finding a new trail to hike, or spending time with her two kittens.
