Grover is a white, transmasculine Butch from the rural midwest. She earned a PhD in Communications for her research on homelessness in the U.S., which she pursued after 4 years of homelessness and inadequate housing. Grover’s writing has been published in the Huffington Post, the Establishment, and Autostraddle, among others. Recently, they created, hosted, and produced the podcast, Masculine Birth Ritual.

Grover has participated in organizing for queer liberation and racial justice for more than a decade, most recently as a Poor and Working Class Caucus Call Facilitator for Showing Up for Racial Justice (National). She is excited to be working for housing justice in her wife’s hometown of Oakland. Grover tends to gardens and children in Alameda, CA.
