What: “There’s No Place Like Home” – Housing Justice Forum
When: Thursday, October 25th at 6:30pm
Where: Christ the King Church, 199 Brandon Road, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523
crowd at may day crop 2

Like the rest of the Bay Area, Concord is witnessing astronomical housing prices and skyrocketing rents. Homeless encampments are springing up and families are struggling to remain in the city.

As more and more of our neighbors are displaced, our faith traditions call us to confront this reality.

  • What are the human costs and the moral challenges of this crisis?
  • What do our scriptures and traditions command us to do in the face of this suffering?
  • How can we open our ears to the voices of our displaced and evicted neighbors?
  • How can we reimagine home for everyone?

This gathering will be a wonderful opportunity to welcome colleagues, congregants and community members more deeply into the connections between faith life and social justice work.

Please mark your calendars and spread the word – and of course let me know if you have any questions!
